Gurupournima Celebration

The Gurupournima celebration at Silver Crest School took place on July 23, 2024, in the school auditorium. A day dedicated to honoring teachers and mentors is a significant event in Indian culture, celebrating the invaluable role of gurus in shaping lives and imparting wisdom. The event began with a welcome of chief guests Mrs Aparna Barde and Mrs Vaishali Mitakari by the school management. Mrs Aparna Barde emphasized the importance of gurus in our tradition and guided on how to lead a good and healthy life. Mrs Vaishali Mitkari spoke about the significance of Guru Pournima and how it is a day to express gratitude towards teachers.

The principal, Mrs Anuja Yerudkar, acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff. The event was graced by the presence of Katkar sir, founder director of Zeal Education Society. He shared inspiring words about the significance of leadership and integrity in one’s personal and academic life. The celebration featured a series of cultural performances by students, including a classical dance performance depicting the reverence for gurus in Indian culture and a musical rendition of devotional song.Gurupournima program was followed by the School Investiture Ceremony – “Shaping Leaders of Tomorrow”
The event marked the formal induction of the newly elected student council members for the academic year 2024-2025. At Silver Crest School, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence but also leadership qualities in our students.

The highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony. The newly elected head boy, head girl, and other council members took their oaths, pledging to perform their duties with dedication and honesty.School Principal and the management congratulated the newly elected leaders and encouraged them to uphold the values and traditions of the school.
